WEEK 1: 8/31 - 9/4
We had class introductions. Students work to complete your Welcome Week Portfolio and turn it in to your period 2 teacher.

WEEK 2: 9/7 - 9/11
We will cover chapter 14 (Toxicology) and chapter 1 (Intro. to Environmental Studies)
Specifically: Chapter 14 (all) and Chap. 1 (pp.4-5 and pp.10-13)
Our test on these materials we be on Friday 9/11.

WEEK 3: 9/14 - 9/18, WEEK 4: 9/21 - 9/25, WEEK 5: 9/28 - 10/2
We will spend 2 days on chapter 2 which provides the basic knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, and Earth science
that is needed in APES. We will do the Milky Way Plate Boundary Lab to help model the three types of plate boundaries. Then we will start chapter 8 which covers our human population (and continue with this chapter for about 1.5 weeks). Finally, we will spend a day or two on chapter 13 which discusses the strategies of developing sustainable cities.
